Collaborating closely with the Head of Sales and your manager, you will be integral to our rapid growth phase. You will work within the Sales department, engaging with various internal teams, such as Product and Customer Experience, to ensure a cohesive customer journey. What your experience will beAs our Controller, you will own the day-to-day accounting function and serve as the right-hand accounting leader to the Head of Finance. This role is the head of accounting at Slang AI—responsible for the integrity of our books, the rhythm of our close, and the readiness of our financials for internal and external stakeholders.You will lead Slang's first-ever third-party audit from end-to-end, build the controls and processes that will survive scrutiny, and design an accounting operation capable of closing the books faster—with the ambition of a near-daily close. You will own revenue accounting under ASC 606, expense accounting, accruals, cost classification, software capitalization, and the controls environment that holds it all together.You will report to the Head of Finance and manage a Sr. Accountant (who owns month-end close, commission calculations, and accounting compliance), as well as a remote offshore team supporting SOP-driven work across HubSpot, Rippling, Invoice Butler, and other administrative systems.
